Geoff founded Tarian in December 2016. Geoff began his Insurance career in 1996 and since then has worked in the U.K. and U.S. markets for a number of renowned insurance carriers. During his career, Geoff has focused on a number of lines of business including Property, Business Interruption, Employers’ Liability, Workers Compensation, General Liability, Motor/Auto, Technology Professional Indemnity/Errors and Omissions and Cyber in variety of senior underwriting and management roles.
Matthew was as a founding member of Tarian in December of 2016. Prior to joining Tarian, Matthew was Underwriting Manager at a Lloyd’s syndicate, specializing in Cyber. Prior to moving to London in November 2014, Matthew lived in New York where he was a Senior Underwriter for a renowned U.S. insurance company, managing a portfolio of E&O products, including Miscellaneous Professional, Technology E&O and Privacy Liability.
James joined Tarian in April 2017. James has been adjusting and broking North American casualty claims in the London market for 16 years. For the past 7 years James has specialised in adjusting cyber and technology claims in a lead capacity for a London Market Syndicate. James has taken a lead role on a large number of significant London market privacy and technology claims, including high profile data breaches, and privacy class actions in multiple US jurisdictions across a variety of industries. James has an instrumental role in the development of Tarian’s cyber offering, and is responsible for the development of relationships with key vendors in the Data Breach space. James utilizes his experience and relationships to create and implement Tarian’s bespoke pre and post breach response solutions.
Heather joined Tarian in August 2017. Heather is a US and UK qualified solicitor who, following a successful career as a litigator in New York, relocated to London 10 years ago to become the first US In House Counsel for a Lloyd’s Insurer. Heather was responsible for overseeing all litigation against the Group and providing policy wording and legal support to its Claim’s and Underwriting teams. At Tarian, Heather plays a vital role in drafting and developing White Label Offerings and assisting with tailoring wordings to serve the needs of its Insured. Heather also works closely with Tarian’s Claims team to develop and implement a premier pre and post breach response offering.
Michael joined Tarian in April 2018. Prior to joining Tarian, Michael was a Senior Underwriter in the Cyber & Technology Division of a renowned Global insurance Company and was responsible for the creation and management of a London-placed portfolio of Tech E&O and cyber liability insurance. Michael has been in the insurance industry for nearly 20 years. He began his career underwriting Public Directors/Officers and Employment Practices cover in the US. specialising in management liability in both the US and UK. Michael made the switch to cyber liability when he joined the Global Technology and Privacy practice of large U.S. Insurance Broker, before moving to live in London in 2014.
Emily joined Tarian in March 2017 as Underwriter. Emily joined from a Lloyd’s syndicate, where she spent four years in the Cyber team working on the cyber, technology and media portfolio. Emily has been in the insurance market for 10 years. She began her career at a regional UK insurance broker, moving to a Lloyd’s syndicate in 2010. She has had insight in to multiple classes of business from Property, Financial Institutions to Cyber Tech E+O. She has a wide broker network and has been successful in developing a profitable cyber underwriting portfolio across a variety of territories and industries.
Dan joined Tarian in June 2017 as Assistant Underwriter. Prior to Tarian, Dan worked for a renowned Lloyd’s Broker for over 5 years, where he handled Professional Indemnity business for a number of UK professions. Seeing the potential for growth in Cyber, Dan decided to move into the Cyber Market and further develop his underwriting knowledge.
David joined Tarian in December 2016. Prior to joining Tarian, David was an Exposure Management Analyst for a Lloyd’s syndicate. In this role, David acquired much of his interest and knowledge in cyber risk while working in partnership with The Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies and RMS on various cyber related projects. David has also previously worked in politics and also spent time working with the Institute of Economic Affairs.
Matilda joined Tarian in January 2018 as an Underwriting Assistant in the cyber, technology and media team. Prior to Tarian, Matilda studied at Brentwood school and previously did work experience with a Lloyd’s syndicate who specialize in Cyber. Matilda is currently working towards the CII qualification.
